Spring 2024 is shaping up to be great year for spring wheat.  Middle of April with planting just getting started, interrupted by rain this week.  That which is in the ground already will have a great advantage of having rain falling on it.   Soil Moisture is ok most places so the crop should start fast with warming temperatures.

 

Time to get geared up for getting everything done for the Wells County Fair in Fessenden June 20 to 23, complete this year with a Carnival.

SY Soren and SY Wolf Prove to Be Top-Performing in the Northern Plains

Bill has completed combining his SY Soren, an AgriPro® brand spring wheat variety, and reports harvest has gone really well. “Small grains produced above average yields with good quality,” Bill noted. “We expected around 70 bu/A, and yielded even more, which is certainly above average for us.” Earlier in the season, Bill also harvested his SY Wolf, an AgriPro brand winter wheat variety. “SY Wolf yielded very well this season, too, and we’re happy with its performance,” Bill said. “It’s in the grain bin waiting to be cleaned and conditioned.” Read more...
