ND Rodeo has shown competitive agronomic performance compared to other varieties commonly grown in North Dakota. It has an upright, indeterminate (short vine) growth habit and matures in approximately 102 days. ND Rodeo has superior seed yield and size compared with other slow darkening pinto cultivars grown in the region. ND Rodeo has resistance to bean common mosaic virus (BCMV) and intermediate resistance to common bacterial blight (CBB). Canning quality and seed shape and size are within acceptable commercial ranges.
